Hawk (Lighthawk) is the old man of the group, but don't tell him that. He still carries a good load, and has the most experience of any llama. You can do just about anything with him. At one time he was the stud on the ranch, back when we were doing breeding. He's that good. |

Frosty is Hawk's son, and he is one of the most mellow llamas on the place. He makes a very good lead llama, and he sets a pretty good pace. He loves grain, and so he's easy to catch and handle. He's pretty stout as well. |

Mahogany is also Hawk's son. He's a willing worker, and somewhat friendly. However, he seems to regard working with humans as more of a business arrangement than a friendship. But he'll give his all on the trail, and he's seen a lot. |

Topper has a slight build that belies his stout heart. He's a llama that just won't quit. He's not particularly affectionate, but respects people if they respect him. Because he does know his place, he's a good choice for more timid handlers. He's a perennial favorate with a number of my clients. |

Uncle Buck is a good, solid llama that does what is asked of him. However, he can be a bit bull-headed at times, so he's better suited handlers over 12. He really likes his grain, and will put up with more handling than most. |

Dom (short for Dynamite Dom) is the newest member of the herd, aquired in the fall of 2005. He's the biggest llama on the place, but has a very even temperament. He's four years old, and a very stout llama. His training is still in the works, so he will see limited use for the time being. |
